new screen
So right now im typing on this new screen i got for free. Its a 19" Asus monitor which was left in our apartment complex along with a little IBM desktop with a sign attached 'free computer please take'.
So i took it. I just reformatted it, got it all working, and it took a few hours.
Its a nice little sized desktop no bigger then a PS3 and its a P4 3.0ghz, 512mb ram (i will upgrade to 2gb) and also 80gb sata drive. It is perfect for a media box / server. So im thinking if i will put a 500gb hdd in there and maybe load windows home server 2008. But we will see. Right now i installed remote admin in it, got it hooked to the wireless network and login to it whilst its connected to the plasma. I wish it had HDMI out..because that would make it the best.
Eitherway it was free and its still a bloody good little PC, a lot better then you would normally find!!
So yeah, getting use to this 19" widescreen is quite hard. Ill give it a week and see if i want to go back to my old 17" 4:3 one. I guess i could just dual monitor it too?
So whats new this year?
Not too much. Right now im pretty tired. Was happy to stay at home and fix/install things on the new little pc i got. I also went down to Davidson national park about 2hrs ago to see some ppl there. It was very peaceful but i just wanted to be back at home and chillin'.
I still have a few things to do around the house. I just wish i had another day off. One to do all those housey things you have to do. I will try to do them tomorrow night =)
