the week that was

So so so,

Its the end of the week. It has been a good week like normal. Had a pretty quiet w/e but thats definately a good thing. I think that MUSE is this coming weekend and i am going with a few dudes from work. Its at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, ive never been their for a gig...so its going to be interesting. I think this will be my last muse gig for a while, seen them too much. I think their the act ive seen the most o_O.

On saturday, i got a random call from Benson who i hadnt seen in ages. He had some free tix to the AND1 basketball game @ homebush. He scored them cause his mate miles was actually playing against them, so they were awesome seats. His mate, miles, is a monster...like 6"9 (in cm that means BIG).

After the game, i spoke to miles a bit and he was telling me that the dude who coaches the AND1 dudes came into their room just before the game and told them basically not to play and defence. Like if they were going up for a dunk, clear the way, dont lay a hand on them etc. Which is kinda pathetic if you ask me. Like it is basically just entertainment bball and yeah your not meant to take it too seriously, but to play no D? When they blocked/defended miles's team when they went up for dunks and stuff? what is that.....

Next time i see the AND1 dudes play on tv next time, i think my impression of them will be a lil' different. However, theres no doubt these dudes have got personal skils. Their dribbling is amazing.....like breathtaking....so much control with crazy moves. But they do like travel/carry the ball continuously. Against a 'team' as such i think they would stuggle. But then again ...its just streetball, played inside basically.

One sad thing which happened was that i finished the book River God. I really hate finishing books. I should say, i really hate finishing good books. I think its because i get too attached to the characters especially when its a mammoth and very descriptive book. Its up their with geisha and the kite runner, but probably not quite as good. My next book its going to be Into the Wild i think. I need a short book before i read the sequal of river god. Into the wild is quite a famous book, ive read another book by the same author called Into thing air which is a true story about an everest accent which went all wrong. This 'into the wild' was his first book and is a true story about how an american guy sold all his belongings and basically just went into the wilderness and tried to survive. However a few months later he was found dead. Funnily enough, i heard on JJJ the other day that Sean Penn's first director role will be for a movie based on the book.

Damn the link on imdb is here, crazy.

To the upcoming week.

Working 4days this week, but im sure they will call me in for another one..like they have the last few weeks. Got another work meeting tomoz night, we seem to be having quite a few. I think its to psych us up for xmas and make sure everything is going smoothly. I have to say my transition back into IT has been very smooth and really had no problems at all, its like 2nd nature again.

Other quite big news is that ive been speaking to angela a lot lately. Shes been in Italy for about a month and shall be in france for the next week or so. Shes still plannin' of heading to Australia on the 20th novemeber...which is ONLY 9 days away. All kinda surreal. I really cant wait for her to get here, i know she will love it...and its awesome showing ppl around when you are a local. People have been so friendly towards me overseas ive had so many random ppl show me around, that i feel its my duty to show ppl around sydney when they come. Plus you discover new things in your own city!

However, i wont have too much time off work till january, so hopefully she wont get to bored. She has some aussie friends she has to meet up north, so be good for her to do that in December whilst im working hard. The plan in January is to head north with her. Probably around mid janurary when work cools down and its easy to get time off. I'm not too sure what ill be doing for new years. Quite a few are heading to Peat's ridge festival, which should be sweet, but im still deciding. All depends if Angela is here and how many days i can get off work. Either way i would like to be kinda outside Sydney for it. But you never know what will happen. I know some friends from Melbourne are travelling north too, so they might pop into syd for NYE too, have to wait and see.....everythings up in the air!

This blog. It started out so different to what it is now. It was so much more reflective, i was a lot more open, either that or i just had a lot more to say hahah. I think its been a bit of both. Before it was very private and i remember when i created it i was defiant in not having inhibitions whilst posting. But to be brutally honest i do have some. I know a few ppls read it and i have been tarnished as such. That sounds quite negative, lets just say i have been affected. I should really just get over it and write everything i think, but i just dont anymore.

Though it is true i dont think as much as before, i dont feel i need to write stuff down to get over etc. Have i matured? have i changed or have i just become a scared little mute? Who knows...maybe i shall get back to being heaps personal or maybe i wont. Does it matter if you write things which hurt people? It shouldnt. This blog was created to be a totally personal diary for myself. I remember trying to see if you could make it private, but you cant. Then i thought about creating a totally undisclosed blog just for myself, whilst still posting bits a pieces on here. But i didnt. I should just be more open i guess and write shit here.

What do i really have to say about personal stuff anyway? Well im not quite sure. I cant really think of anything precisely to say (that sounds weird, grammatically i think thats wrong).

Things i still want to do.

Treking. I need to do more trekking. My mind set has changed in relation of getting stuff done. I dont rely on people as much i dont think. I do to an extent but im a little more defined in what i want and hopefully i can get even more defined.

Relationships, with Angela its good. We really havent known eachother long enough for me to make and decisions with her. Right now i feel, that i had an awesome time with her overseas, i got to know her well, she told me things which she hadnt told anyone for a long time. I felt i got very close to her in a sort time. But i believe that happens at the start of most relationships, everyone is very open and you seem to feel you know them. It is a little different with her though, i think it was easy for her to tell me things because i wasnt part of her life as such. But i think because she told me things we got closer and it helped out relationship survive as long as it has, even though we are on different sides of the world.

I feel theres a lot of other things i want to learn about her. Shes kinda crazy hahha. Crazy in a good way. Weirdly she reminds me of myself at the start of my past relationship. You know how it is, crazy in love as such. For me, ive entered this relationship a bit heldback.......not totally held back...but maybe just a little more cautious. I think a good type of cautiousness. I want to start things slowly and build from that. Thats what im thinking now. But who knows in 2weeks i might want to move to brazil. Hahah i know i can go just as crazy sometimes.

However, there are things i want to do regardless if i have a girlfriend or not. I want to go to nepal. Probaly by myself, i like travelling by myself and i dont want to look after someone over their who slows me down. That sounds really harsh, but its the truth. I dont mind travelling with someone..but nepal is for me. I can looki after someone in other countries, but i like trekking by myself, i learn more, i can do it at my own pace, it makes sense to me. Maybe im just being a little too 'defined', but i know in the past ive given up a lot and as much as i want to believe the entire 'gamble everything for love' thing, i do feel it probably wasnt the best thing for the relationship. Hmmmm....actually i dont know if that is correct. It feel that you have to do what you feel you want too, but that both people need to know where they stand, how the other person feels about them and that everything is out in the open. Have i been burnt/scared. I think to an extent i have, but only because i let it, but thats what you have to do in relationships....you have to open up, which leads to insecurity which leads to inevitably getting hurt? or does it....... I cant answer that one. I dont think many people would be able too. Only the oldies. Grandparents are a wealth of information in more ways then one. I think that could be one of life's big questions......relationships....love......direction.....choices...... To big for this little blog.

Anyways thats enough for me tonight. I need to use the bathroom. And god-bless sarah blasko, seriously. lol.

Music. Music is relative because you put so much emotional attachment to it too. So to me sarah blasko's musis brings back so many memories of me travelling on overnight buses between random cities, stuff which is unexplainable.

Whilst travelling their are so many thoughts which go through your head, so many scenarios so many of everything. Here back home you have a lot more distractions. Thats how i feel though, im sure some would argue that. But whilst i travel my brain thinks about anything and everything i think too much but for some reason it makes more sense? Go figure. Its not that it makes more sense in your head, but it FEELS like it makes sense. A difference which i dont know if i can be bothered to go into, maybe someone knows what i mean.

Routines. Its something we all to an extent need. It helps us make more sense of our lives, even makes us feel more important or needed and our lives more meaningful. But to me, and because of me, i get bored. Thats why i enjoy travelling so much too, things are new. I feel more in my element not knowing anyone or anything, then being in sydney and knowing people haha. I should register the following trademark, "travel its me". ahhaha SO cliche`. But i guess thats just where i am in my life. People all have different stages. I guess im in travelling stage. I dont know though, most people get out of that stage after doing some travelling and i dont know too many people who enjoy travelling by themselves so much. Who knows maybe im just a strange one, i do have a finnish parent for instance (If you didnt get that joke you werent meant too =).

Hmm ok now is enough.

bed time=).

hope their aint too many grammatical errors. I aint going to re-read it lol.
