Brazil
Hello,
Havent posted in a while..cause its been a pretty crazy ride since BA.
Arhh i have great memories of this city (BA). Same kind of memories as Sucre...where its just one week long blur of happiness......thankgawd for photos.
Anyway I visited Iguazu Falls after BA with 2 people from the hostel, Raphael and Angela.
I have to say .....Iguazu falls are the most beautiful and picturess waters falls i shall ever see in my entire life. If there is one thing u MUST do on this continent....its visit these falls. They are so amazing...they look entirely FAKE. So FAKE....like its a bad backdrop in a movie.........it totally felt surreal.
The falls are probaly the best thing i have seen on this trip...i would rate them as twice as good as Machu Picchu.....and thats a big call. Especially when i have some amazing pictures of that too. But like, the Iguazu falls are superb because you get to walk on these ramps right up next to them. One walk is called ´The Devils Throat´...and u literally right ontop of the falls...looking over...and seeing ENORMOUS INCOMPREHENSIBLE amounts of water cascading over the edge.......u just get happy being near them and looking at the raw natural power of them. It blew my mind....even thinking about seeing them a week ago..makes me want to go back.
The falls are also on the edge of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay...so u can see them from all 3 countries. Though i got told the Paraguay side sux. We went to brazil for 1 day to see the brazil side, then the next day to the Argentinean side...which is easily the most astounding.
I dont care what u do.....if u come to South America.....Iguazu falls are enough of a reason to come....go book a flight, beg, steal and borrow if u have too...just see the falls sometime in your life. If u are NOT breathless after seeing them..i shall happily refund the price of the flight*
*pending, the amount of debt i accumulate on this trip.
Oh, yeah and Paraty in brazil rocks...specially when your with a local to show you around. I been wearing only shorts, thongs (flipflops for our non aussie readers) around.......been to the beach soaking up the sun...and with Angela....(she owns a little scooter)...and we been cruising the coast going way to fast without helmets.....visiting remote beaches.......and also visited the mountains...where her brother inlaw lives.....and theres was this secret waterhole (very similar to the one up near nimbin).......so sweet.....hopefully photos soon
i love brazil.....its so much like the east coast back home....
heading back to Rio on monday too.
ciao for now...i need 6months more on this continent =(
