to the dearly departed

So,

I just got home from my brothers place. He and mahsa have gone up the coast to QLD to spend NYE with mahsa's side of the family, so they said i could chill at their place if i wanted too. So, after dinner i went and used the pool and had a nice relaxing sauna. I then watched the movie 'The Departed' on their big screen tv. And golly gosh was it a good movie. Its funny, it draws you in so well into the characters and you thing you know whats going on and then it ends very well. Not one of those happy cliche movie endings but more of a realistic ending. It reminds me funnily enough of the movie 'Arlington Road'. That movie too kinda of ended in a cool way, not so, perfect i guess the word is. But anyway, its def one of the better films ive seen in recent times and if you havent seen it go out and see it!!

Hmm back to my life lately eh. Well its basically been pretty full on, last 2-3weeks just been working fulltime and time has flown. I went down to melbourne for 2days from xmas eve night to boxing day night too see Renee and Jason. My entire family (mum, dad, adam, mahsa) and Jasons's parents were there from America too. So it was probaly the first xmas i can remember where we were all together. It was a good few days, playing board games, watching the cricket and generally catching up with everyone. The weather was absolutely freezing. I mean freezing like 9degrees and rainy, was so damn crazy!!! Another highlight was a quick trek, jason, adam and i went on. It was close to their place (they live in a suburb comparable to berowa in relation to the distance from the city) and was called the Kakoda memorial trial. Only like 3km up, but the entire way is up hill and was a good little challenge. It really psyched me up for some trekking over in Peru which i really cant wait for. But i need to get some proper shoes and stuff to get prepared.

Anyways, catching the plane after work by myself let me reflect on my overseas travels earlier this year. I had the same feeling you get when your overseas by urself and basically just have that mind set of going somewhere new and exciting. I like travelling by myself, the long train rides in the middle of no-where, the bus which just keeps going.....the stuff just zooming by you outside the window. The music you listen to you can also dramatically effect your mood too and its always enjoyable going through things in your head whilst chillin listening to music.

I havent posted much reflective stuff as of late. I guess just been busy doing my everyday stuff. I have been enjoying work and keeping fit and socialising with different people. Mixing it up as they say i guess.

Well im starting to get a lil sleepy and i rek0n its time for bed now, 8.30 start tomoz. Hehe i cant wait to have a day off too.....arhh sweet!!

Have a good night ppls and ttys

Joely
