Hey,
So me in Mykanos now, We arrived last night and are staying in quite a fancy hotel which is 4stars. Probaly the best accomodation i have had since travelling in 3months!!!. Yesterday was my 3month anniversary of travelling, which im quite proud of. If only i had more money :O.
So we left from Athens to Paros Island. Which was quite nice, not nearly as busy as mykanos and not nearly as expensive either. Mykanos is the most 'cosmapolitan' of the islands, which basically means its the most expensive and touristy. Its definately nice, but i do miss Paros and its more reclusive and private beaches etc. Our Hotel is right on the beach..u know those pictures u see of a hotel pool and then right behind it is the beach. Well thats it.....the water its so blue like the sky and u can basically leave ur stuff at the hotel pool area walk say, 10seconds and ur on the beach. On the beach its all those recliner chairs and little huts for tourists to do their touristy things.
Right now i have some nice internet time (been on here 1hr already) as doing the washing and really just wanted to chill today. I dont know how much of the island i will see. Currently im at the main area where there a narrow alleyways with shops and then at the end the habour. Theres quite a big night life here too compared to other islands and i think tonights we going out for a bit (starts at about 3am the places) after the Australia win again Croatia who play at 10pm greek time. If they dont win, or even draw (a draw i think gets us through too) it might be quite an early night :P.
So yeah what else is happening, well i just checked my email and flights etc and looks like im actually flying out of England on the Thursday 6th of July to HK (arrive on the Friday) and stay there till the 10th and then fly to Australia. So my dreams of having the world cup final to watch in Australia have been shattered. heheh not shattered just means im going to be partying it up in HK with some randoms at the hostel which should actually be heaps of fun! Just checking hostels now on hostelworld.com (backpackers fav website) seems like quite a few good ones. Hopefully the Dragon hostel not full!!
Anyways i should cruise, go get some cheap lunch then back to the hotel with my new clean clothes (need underwear quite desperatly). Then ill chill at the beach and then have an afternoon nap ready for the 10pm game of soccer!
