Museums...
Well theres heaps there, like there is at all museums, but the most random exhibiton was the one on iceland. There were a few large rooms dedicated to it, which were dark and had projecters showing scenery and volcanos exploding. It was all just a bit wierd to be at the science museum. There was aslo another room with people dressed up in these white (i guess traditional icelandic dress) clothing and i asked them a few questions about the country. The guys were about same age as me and he explanied quite a bit about the country. To me iceland is quite the mysterious country...more so then even finland i think. It would definately be a country where you hopefully wouldnt bump into 1000's of tourists and things which i like (even though im one of them!). Interesting icelandic facts:
- per capita they consume the most amount of power/energy then an other country
- they use the cleanest sources of power 75% comes from renewable sources (mainly there hot springs), geothermal power
- have the most computers per capita
- world leaders in research for geothermal and renewable sources of energy
So there, you learn something new everyday. Im thinking about going there but the guy said its 250 pounds for a return ticket, so that doesnt motivate me too much. But i will have to go there sometime in my life. They have heaps of outdoor activities like long nature walks, camping and stuff like that, i think of remote new zealand when i think of iceland, even though ive never been to either :O.
Tonight went to my great aunts house (my grandma's sister) for a dinner too, most of the english side of the family was there, first time all together for a while so that was really good, i ate so much like usual too!
Hehe right now im getting more and more lazy so i cbf'd to write anymore. Tomorrow ill probaly head to camden markets which are meant to be quite the experience. Like lots of distinguishable social groups there, punks, goths etc. Also anika said that you get offered stuff every two seconds too. So should be interesting eitherway, get some lunch down there too hopefully. No plans for tomorrow night, sunday hopefully go around anika's hood and see some local bands though.
So have a good night and ttys.
